Chris Gardner is a Licensed Veterinary Technician working in both the Physical Rehabilitation center and the Dermatology Department at Veterinary Specialist of Alaska. She is a native Alaskan. She graduated from East High School and obtained her graduate degree in Political Science from UAA. She works closely with Anchorage Animal Care and Control and Friends of Pets rescuing older or ill four-legged companions. “More often than not I end up adopting these guys, so I have quite a menagerie at home…or as one doctor has described it, “my little shop of horrors.” She finds the special “hand-on” approach in these areas of animal care to be the most personally rewarding within the field of veterinary medicine. “Working for specialists in any career field is a great opportunity and the talented specialists at VSOA set the highest standard for insightful diagnosis, care, and treatment of their patients.”
