From humble beginnings as Alaska Veterinary Surgical Services (AVSS) in September of 1996, we have grown steadily into the multiple specialty, multiple doctor practice currently known as Veterinary Specialists of Alaska (VSOA). The biggest expansion occurred in 2002-2003 when our hospital was completed and Drs. Priddy (surgery), Preziosi (dermatology) and Chang (physical rehabilitation) joined our practice. This broadened the scope of our practice, necessitating the name change. More recently, Dr. von Pfeil (surgery) has joined our practice further broadening our knowledge base and improving our ability to treat your pet in a timely fashion. Although our name has changed to reflect the broadening scope of our practice and our family has grown, our goals have remained the same. As always, our number one goal is to provide you and your pet with the most advanced treatment options available.
